gum problem

Next to my tooth that has broken and if almost gone, I have a bump that is red and sometimes hardens while other times it soft, smooth. I've been having a lot of pain in that tooth and then this appeared. What can it be? Please help!!

Re: gum problem

Sounds like an abcess. This means the pulp of the tooth is dead and the infection is draining out (the bump). You should go to a dentist to either have a root canal, or have the tooth removed.
