How long can core buildup and crowning wait?
I'll be honest. I don't have enough dental insurance to get all of my work done is just one year. It could literally take several.
Here are my problems. Pulling teeth is NOT an option unless the dentists says that I absolutely have to.
- Two infected teeth in the front on top. Both have had root canals in the past six months. Temporary filling is protecting them. My new dentist saw these and said he'd like to get them done soon. Said they were still good and that he could finish them. The thing is that these procedures are so costly. just fixing one of them would drain all of my dental insurance, but they need to be fixed before the root canal becomes a waste
-Possibly TWO OR THREE infected teeth on the bottom. My old dentist wasn't sure about this. I don't suffer from constant pain. Just when I wiggle the tooth or have extremely cold liquids on them. The Dentist said they might not be infected. What is odd is that these haven't ever worsened over the past 6 or so months. No infection oozing out everywhere. I haven't gotten sick or anything, but there is definitely a level of pain that I don't have in other teeth. My old dentist said that i'd need to go to a specialist to confirm whether or not these teeth are actually infected. That would cost a lot of money on my insurance. From the outside they actually look nice. I think both dentists were surprised to find out that they might be infected.
Now this year I still have about 2K left. What should I do? Do dental schools perform root canals, crowns, etc? Please advise.
