I have a pre op assessment next week for an op on my wrist,i will finish my antibiotics on the same day of pre op im worried the blood tests done will show up i have an infection(high numbers of white blood cells) part of me doesnt want to tell the pre op nurses iv had an infection and then hope nothing shows up but then i feel i should just fes up but that might mean delaying my op which iv waited for a year for.Should i fess up or not?even tho i will be on the last antibiotics im not confident the infection will be totally gone as iv had it a while(5th lot of antibiotics)i need route canal but infection isnt fully clearing,my dentist knows im having an op and shes been working at clearing the tooth(flushing and putting medicine in there)the tooth is dead so doesnt hurt its just so persistant.Im due to go back dentist inbetween my pre op and operation, thinking about it maybe i should be posting on a diff forum ,i just want to know will my white blood cells still show a high count even though i would be on the last day of antibiotics? i will rip this tooth out myself if it puts my operation date back Grrrrrrr
