Bone Graphs taken from the Jaw?

Has anyone had any experience with this. I just had surgery today, only to find out that the bone graphs done a few months back, did not take. Now the only option left to me, in order to have implants, for an over denture....is to try again, sometime after the Holidays using my own bone. I read somewhere on line that bone taken from the jaw can take sometime to heal, and that it is painfull.I know that everyone is different, but hopefully someone can give me some idea of this procedure. Please respond, and Thank You

Re: Bone Graphs taken from the Jaw?

They used cadaver bones on me. I had 4 implants...one rejected and the other 3 did just fine.
