Wisdom tooth hurts growing in?
I had 2 wisdom teeth pulled about 2 months ago, and I specifically asked the dentist "so you're pulling the LAST tooth on the top left?" and he said yes.
After things healed up I thought he left half a tooth behind, because I could feel something there. Went back to the dentist - "oh, that's your wisdom tooth". What?!
Anyway these morons neglected to tell me that I had another wisdom tooth coming in there. It was just starting to come in so that's why it felt kind of sharp and irritated. Didn't sound like there was any reason to pull it.
At this point it's still just popping out of my gum line, but it hurts. If I push up on it, it REALLY hurts. Sometimes it feels a little sore and if I push on it one way or the other it feels better. Is it normal for a wisdom tooth to hurt like this when it's coming in? I just had two different dentists and an extra X-ray looking at the tooth, so I don't think it's a cavity...
