total teeth extractions -denture expose bone

I just got all upper molars teeth extraction and dentures. I got 15%-20% bone expose outside gum and it look like teeth. I went to dentist at least 6 to 8 times before extraction and was never told that there was expose bone. I always thought bone was underneath the gum. Should I ask for my x-rays and get a second opinion. I mean it look like a teeth in several spot in my mouth. I also got sensitivity in one on the bone that make me think that I need a root canal. Is this normal for people that first get dentures to see a lot of bone and have sensation of pain as if they need a root canal.

Re: total teeth extractions -denture expose bone

what are happening to your teeth now? Hope you well. I'm going to have some teeth extracted soon and that's the reason I read your message. I get very depressed about the 'coming operation'. At least your message made me feel that I'm not alone. Thank you.
