"skin tag" on tongue
I'm 25 and a smoker for 7 years on & off. Going to the dentist to check it out on Tuesday but hoping to ease my mind in the mean time.
A few weeks ago, after eating, I had a feeing like something was stuck to the roof of my mouth. After a while it went away. It happened a few more times, then again today, and I startedinspecting my tongue.
On the left side, all the way in the back, there are two little growths. They look like the rest of my tongue, and are shaped like the skin tags I used to get on my arms.
On the other side, at almost the same spot, there's a divet looking area. Not like a rip or tear. Just an indent.
Neither spot it painful or looks like anything I've seen on oral cancer. I am wondering what it could be, though. I've never had exposure to HPV or herpes. My mother suggested that maybe I've been chewing on my tongue in the sleep, since she gets similar things on the front of her tongue. I'm sure the dentist will know, but 4 days is a long time whenobsessing.
