Dental abscess causing stomach pain?

Ive discovered tht I had an tooth abscess almost 5 months ago. 2 years ago my upper back molar, second to the last, chipped from me chewing a piece of gum. I left it be & overtime it decayed causing huge hole in my tooth. inside the hole is where the tooth abscess started to grow, it not huge but its at least the size of a pea.
lately i have been having extreme nausea with diarreah, no fever but i have lost 10 lbs due to no appetite. my tooth isnt causing me any pain but i think the pulp is dead. =(
plz help me :'(

Re: Dental abscess causing stomach pain?

Get to a dentist and get this resolved. The abscess can spread beyond that area and make you very sick...even into your sinuses and then the brain if you don't stop it. My husband had one go into his sinuses and had to be in the hospital and on IV antibiotics.

An abscess is a pocket of infection and can make you as sick as any infection anywhere...you can get stomach aches and nausea and diarrhea. The pain you may feel is swollen glands in your abdomen. Your body is telling you that you are sick.

You can die from an infected tooth that is not treated by either a root canal and lots of antibiotics or removing the tooth and lots of antibiotics. Infection is infection no matter where it is.

Get to a dentist today! Please!
