Exclamation How to take care of permanent porcelain crowns?
Hi All, I am a 25 years old male and I'm having Procera crowns on my 3 front teeth (sports accident, one has a post n core and other 2 are simple crowns). I am anxious as to how to take care of them so that they last long. My question is can I eat chewing gum, meat and raw fruits (or any hard textured fruit) as I used to eat before or are there any restrictions? (I dont intend to bite into them, but atleast can I chew them normally?)

The crowns should stand up to eating normal foods and chewing gum.
One thing you should do is to get a gumshield made to use when playing sports. Also check out insurance policies in case you have another accident.

Exactly. These teeth are meant to be used just as your natural teeth were. Feel free to bite into items you normally would. Brush and floss daily. A sports guard is essential.
