Severe Pin after extraction - not dry socket
I hd severe pain in a tooth that had been root canaled and crowned(molar). To bite down on it was dreadful, but to push on it was great. I knew it was just radiating pain from the wisdom tooth 2 teeth back, which had a significant sized cavity. Turns out the decay on the wisdom tooth was extensive enough to need a root canal or be extracted. Since it was a wisdom tooth, I decided to have it extracted. That was 24 hours ago, and I am understandably sore from the surgical extraction but what has me baffled is I am also still exeriencing the same pain I had that took me to the dentist!! 5 teeth and all of the gums near the tooth that came out are in pain, but especially the molar that was root canaled and crowned. I hate mouth pain, I would rather be poked by a stick on fire than have to deal with this. I feel if I call my dentist they will tell me it's normal, when I know it isn't. Also, it's Saturday and they are closed.
Any ideas what is going on? Anyone have something similar? I appreciate it!
