Sour/dry feeling in mouth, help
I'm a 19 year old Asian girl and for the past few days I've been feeling a rather sour taste in my mouth; my mouth also feels very dry. In the past I've had this dry mouth problem only when I feel dehydrated, or after I've drunk alcohol and coffee, but recently my dry mouth has persisted throughout the day.
I've been drinking loads of water, eating fruits, and even sucking on mints (somewhat obsessively) but all these methods only alleviate the problem temporarily. Even after I brush my teeth, floss, scrape my tongue and rinse with mouthwash, I get a temporarily moist feeling and the sour taste goes away for a while but the strange feeling in my mouth returns after about half an hour.
The taste in my mouth does not seem to affect my diet: food tastes fine to me, and it is only when I eat that my mouth doesn't feel sour or dry.
Please help because I am really worried. For one, the taste is really quite unpleasant; for another, I keep getting anxious about whether I have bad breath (nobody has commented on it so far, but I feel so paranoid).
