| | Help! My tooth is killing me!!
I have a severe toothache, the last tooth on my upper left side. I had a root canal over 5 years ago on this tooth, yet i still feel pain. Last year I had the tooth next to it pulled. It wasn't so bad for a while, but now that a tooth on my right side has broken, I have to chew on my left side. The broken tooth doesn't hurt nearly as bad as the back left tooth! I have had a headache for 4 days straight with throbbing constant pain in my tooth. Both the top and the bottom of the left side of my mouth hurts. I feel it slightly swollen, very tender to the touch around my left jaw line. I have no insurance and no dentist. There is a clinic nearby however they demand $200 up front just for the visit unless you have their version of charity care. But with the holiday weekend and not being able to get an appointment for at least another week what can I do? I have switched between Alieve, Tylenol, Excedrin, and Ibrprophen over the course of the last 2-3 days. Tried the garlic remedy but no luck. Orejel doesn't seem to stop the throbbing. I have some old Rx's for antibiotics but don't think I should take Clindamycin that expired 2 years ago. A friend said if I inhaled pot smoke and let it sit in my mouth the pain will go away, but I'm looking for a more educated answer than that. Please Help!
