| Bad Root Canal?
I went to one dentist and because of a discoloring dead tooth I got a root canal and needed a crown. The dentist constantly would remove the temp. crown which we used a porcelein crown for, so i could try on a endless not working crown (not working because of a mismatch in color). Finally I ended up seeing a dentist at the lab who took xrays and said I needed a retreat because there was still some nerve left in the tooth; the tooth was also hurting alittle bit, only when being tapped though, nothing serious. I then got a new permamnent crown and he placed monopeg underneathe the crown on the natural tooth, so you couldnt see the discoloration under the crown. The crown then started looking darker after a few weeks. I saw the more experienced dentist in that practice then who got me a new crown made, I havent had any more problems with the color, though its only been a week since Ive had this permanent in. but after I got the retreatment the tooth and gum hurt, maybe even worse than before and I saw an endodonist who couldnt find anything wrong he said he could retreat me to see further but i might need surgery then and it could hit the tooth next to it because my roots are so close causing me to need a crown on that one too so I declined. The adjacent tooth is sensitive to hot and cold now, throbs when I drink hot liquids, and Ive been 2 2 dentists who cant tell me why. I am concerned about this. I am also concerned because after the new crown was placed the gum moved inbetween my front teeth leaving a little space and tooth and gum still hurt, and it hurts even worse, also my nose, in the right nostril, when my right tooth is crowned has been experiencing some pain which seems attached to that gum and tooth, which concerns me, and I feel like I have been tasting some cement. ANy advice? Please help.
