Hi there

I had an abscess which I was in agony about, didn't have a dentist (im in the UK) so called an emergency one, I had a root canal treatment and antibiotics. The pain has now gone finally but I have a lump on gum adajcent to the tooth which was done, its quite painful if I touch it.

I have now registered with a dentist but cant be seen until 20th Jan, anyone know what this could be and will it effect me over xmas?

I am in a similar situation; had first part of root canal done but the infection for me is very deep. My dentist thinks it was forming for years. Anyway, it sounds like you may still have infection in there and you might need to be on a strong antibiotic. Others have posted on here about that. Does the dentist know about this? You might want to call back to see if you can get in sooner. Good luck.
