Really worried and would like some advice please...

Hi, I'm a nearly 29 and in the 1st trimester of pregnancy with my forth child. I was recently diagnosed with peridontitis after a lifelong battle with my overcrowded teeth, and im also losing enamel. I have decided I want my remaining teeth extracted (about 22 in total) as I can't cope anymore with the increasing discomfort in my mouth, especially when eating and drinking and tooth brushing, and modern dentures fitted. Does anyone know of this procedure being undertaken during pregnancy and if so, is it safe to do? I know there are associated risks with general anaesthetic and pregnancy but I was wondering if there was a stage (ie the 2nd trimester) where it could be undertaken safely? Any advice would be great, thank you.

I am not sure about the general anesthetic part I know that normally the dentist will say that if you have to have any dental work done while pregnant, it is better to wait until the 2nd trimester or the pregnancy is completed. Good luck!
