had a tooth out and i can still feel a sharp bit.

Hi, i had a tooth taken out which was nearer the back / top of my mouth, i had that done because i had an abscess, i had been taking anti-biotics prior.

a few days after i had it removed i coult still feel a sharp bit, i arranged to go back and see my dentist about a week later, he had a little look around but didnt say a great deal, he said that its still a little infected so gave me more anti-biotics and said the sharp bit is normal and probably a peice of the jaw boke that can come away and should fall out / go on its own.

when i look in the mirror its hard to see anything and cant see much myself but can deffo feel it with my tongue.

can anyone tell me is this normal and will it just go on its own or should he have done more or actually got rid of it for me while i was there?

james
