How do I get rid of the white coating on my tongue? Please help with any good suggestions. This is driving me crazy.

Thanks!

Re: White tongue

White tongue is generally caused by Candida. Do you have any soreness on your inner cheeks and gums and any white spots.
It is always best to get a proper diagnoses from your Dr or Dentist. Candida in the mouth which can occur on the tongue, gums, or inner cheeks is known as Thrush,
It responds well to a course of NYSTATIN (prescription only) where I live. You can also buy a mouthwash named ELUDRIL or another named CORSODYL which are both very good for this condition.
Hope this helps and Good Luck,

Solofelix.

Re: White tongue

Good advice above; you could also buy a tongue-scraper to remove the deposits. Candida (thrush) is often a side-effect of antibiotics.

Re: White tongue

The mouthwash is available without prescription. Ask for a mouthwash containing chlorhexidine as the brand names given may not exist in your country.
