New wisdom tooth causing ear fulness and ache

I'm not sure if this is quite the right area to post in and I apologise if it isn't.

My top left wisdom tooth is coming through at the moment, I'd estimate about two thirds of the tooth is out. Is it normal for this to cause vague ear ache and fullness? I've had trouble with my left ear as of late (an infection at the start of the year and tinnitus which hopefully came from said infection and therefore will die down) so I'm now quite anxious about anything to do with it. The fullness feels vaguely like that from airplane use, that kind of annoying poppy thing you get rid of by yawning. The pain is an intermittent ache, I'm pretty sure it's due to the tooth but I find it hard to locate the pain exactly. Is it normal to have it feel as if it's in and/or below the ear?
