Re: pain on my leftside of neck
I would advise you not to make any decisions now. You're in pain, and that makes it hard to think. I've never had that exact procedure, but I have had some procedures (and a few weeks ago had all my teeth extracted), so I know a few things that might help:
1. If you're having pain when you eat still, try going with soft foods that are not too hot or too cold.
2. Unless you can't medically, I would try taking ibuprofen (600 - 800mg three times daily) to keep down the inflammation.
3. Check with your dentist to see if you can use some kind of topical treatment to minimize pain, especially since it's coming from one tooth.
4. Also let your dentist know about your pain. He should be able to tell you if it's normal or not and anything else you can do about it.
Try to think of this as a temporary experience. I know it's not fun (trust me, I'm on week 3 of dentures, and this is not my idea of a good time), but it's a process that should end up better in the end. I hope you feel better soon.
