Hiand thank you for reading this. My tooth broke yesterday... there was a wall...me singing...yeah...Anywho the toothreally doesnt hurt but thenerve might be out only a tiny bit is it possible to save the nerve? Its sensitive when touched but not that bad when not.
I dont want a root canal. It looks scary. Also how can they fix it? Willmy dentist be able to on the visit.
And how do I keep the nerve if its out I cant see it really from dying? DO I rinse with salt water for infection? Thank youall soooo much and sorry for all the questions.
I wonder why you say that the nerve is out. Likely, you cannot tell. The tooth is broken and is likely repaired with a filling of some type or cap. If the nerve is involved, then a root canal would likely be needed, but since it doesn't hurt now, chances are that it wouldn't hurt to fix it, only costly. Hope that helps.
Another question is how do I know if I need a root canal. Because its not that bad. Is it possible at all that I dont need one? I fear them......more so the feeliing of a numb mouth...
It is very possible, likely probable, that you do not need a root canal. However, it is not for you to tell. Your dentist will know mostly from looking at your tooth, and if needed, x-ray, sensitivity testing.
And don't fear them ... I've had about 6 root canals. The anticipation is much worse than the procedure which, when numb, is totally comfortable. Usually, you are in discomfort when you need one, not while it is being done.
Most likely not a root canal. If something hot hurts for more than 5 - 10 seconds, then start thinking root canal. Cold sensitivity comes from every thing.
