| Crown Issue
Hi Everybody. I have a question. A crown on my upper molar came off today while eating something chewy. Anyway, the crown is not hollow and I think the post is sticking out of my gum, it did not come off with the crown. I'm not having any pain but I was wondering, if the tooth did indeed break but the post is left behind what are the chances it is still repairable? It's hard to see as it's in the back of my mouth but I'm pretty sure it's the post in there and not the tooth itself as it's feels very "needle-like" and the crown itself is filled with white tooth structure I think. I can't feel a break point and I will get to the dentist as soon as I can, but does it sound like a goner?
