| Problem after Oral Surgery
On April 24th I had a Molar and Impacted Wisdom Tooth removed, along with a Cyst that was below the gumline between the teeth. Surgery went well, healing was tough for a few days. On May 15th I went back for a followup, the Doctor told me there was no issue with the Cyst and did a quick exam. There is a sharp edge that has broken through the gum wall. Feels like part of the tooth or something. the Doctor said it was bone and not to worry about it, that it would eventually go away. I was like, ok, I'm sure he has seen this before and know what he's talking about. But here we are on May 25th and if anything, the edge is slightly larger. Why would be say it would eventually go away if it's bone? Now that I think about that it really doesn't make any sense at all. There is also a lot of tenderness at this site so it can't be right, right? Any Oral Surgeons out there have thoughts about this? Just like nearly every other human being on the planet, I don't like going to the Dentist, but I realize it is necessary. I just don't want any more surgery. If that's what it comes down to, should there be any additional charge to me? I mean this certainly wasn't me fault, and he did file down the bone during my original procedure. I can't help he missed something!
