Unhappy Giant Tooth

I have pretty good teeth. Straight without a lot of spaces and whatnot inbetween them. However, I had my bottom left tooth pulled when I was younger due to a cavity. The tooth right above that one has gotten HUGE. It's at least a few times bigger than any of my other teeth. It's really uncomfterable, it pokes into my gums. Is there a reason for this? Or anything I can do, other than getting it pulled?

On another note, I know I have an infection in my mouth. We don't have insurance or anything, so it can be a little hard to get my into the dentist. I don't think this has anything to do with the tooth, but it's worth mentioning just in case.

Re: Giant Tooth

Hi,
It sounds as though the tooth above has super-erupted. This is very common with the opposing tooth of an extraction. Woth yours, because there was a space below, the tooth above sought to fill it and came down.

I don't know if there is any remedy other than extraction but seeing your dentist is strongly advised. The problem can get worse and there is nothing you yourself can do.

Hope this helps.
Best to you,
Gellia
