I had a couple of extractions last week due to gum infection. Both teeth had already received root treatment but the infection wasn't clearing. My dentist recommended extraction followed by a plate until the gums heal and then a bridge. Everyone told me that it would be painless and that I would just feel some pressure. This was not the case! Both extractions were painful and have left me a bit traumatised! Has anyone else had pain during an extraction? These teeth were both lower front teeth i.e. not even molars! I've heard that the aneasthetic doesn't work so well on infected teeth. Has anyone else heard this? This was a really unpleasant experience for me and I am now dreading going back to have the bridge fitted.
