Need dentures

I am 76 years old and need to get dentures. One dentist I saw wanted to implant the dentures at a cost of $20,000. This seems to be the new thing but I can't afford it, I just want regular dentures. Has anyone gotten dentures lately and how much does it cost? Thanks!

Re: Need dentures

If you go diret to a dental technician you will get cheaper dentures as you will cut out the middleman, the dentist. No idea as to prices, phone a few in your area.

Re: Need dentures

Don't confuse "implants" with "dentures." Big difference, especially in the price. A good set of dentures won't cost anywhere near 20K. I strongly recommend that you work with your dentist and not go directly to a lab.

Re: Need dentures

I have been quoted $2600 for full top and partial bottom. Which from what i have seen is an average. I was quoted from one place $1500 but they didnt have good reviews and the dentist im going with has a wonderful reputation. Which for me is important because he is also doing the extractions. I was very weary of any "upselling" due to having no dental insurance. My mother inlaw paid $3050 for hers last year full top and bottom. I hope this helps.

Re: Need dentures

$2,600 is a little closer to what I was hoping to pay. Thanks, I will shop around.
