| Tooth trauma - is there anything I can do?
I suffered moderate trauma to a front tooth about 1.5 mths ago. Since then I've been to the dentist twice with the instructions to wait and see. The tooth goes between numb, tingly, and what I would call normal. It is not loose but will move a little with pressure (which I avoid!). I haven't eaten normally since it happened and I shy away from things like kissing my husband to avoid any pressure that could damage the tooth more. I have been cutting up my pizza in tiny little squares - pure madness!
In the meantime, while waiting the approximate 1 month to 5 years my dentist said it may take to determine what might happen, is there anything I can do, use, take, try, in order to help the situation? I've read about holistic cures and am willing to try anything. At times I just put OTC numbing stuff on it just to completely numb it, particularly when going to bed, because the feeling of it being partially numb drives me nuts.
It is unbelievable how something so little as a tooth can cause a whole lifestyle change. Any recs for healing or at least feeling a little more normal?
