Left half tongue numb after wisdom tooth surgery

Hello.
I had my wisdom tooth surgically extracted under local anesthesia on 03 Nov 2012. Half of my tongue is numb all the time, and it feels like burning when i brush my teeth with tooth paste (you know that feeling?) and hurts for a while. At first, I thought it was the anesthesia not fading away, but when it lasted for days, I knew it was not the anesthesia.

My surgeon said it will go on its own and I should not worry.
But I am worried and suggest me Vitamin tablet Neurobion (Vitamins of B1,B6,B12)

My Questions:

1. When i fell my tongue become normal. When I touch my tongue i can't feel my finger on it. I feel my half tongue like rubber. Please help

It could take weeks to months for the feeling to come back.
