Lingual nerve damage

I have been dealing with permanent chronic intense pain for 4 years now due to a wisdom tooth removal on the lower left side. I have gone to about 12 doctors since, specialists, pain management doctors, therapists, etc. No one has any answers besides 5 meds I am now on but they eventually become useless when my tolerance reaches a certain level after a few months. It has severely affected my life causing anxiety and depression. I have read many posts of others with this similar issue and just knowing I am not the only one makes me feel a little less crazy. If any one has had any success with a permanent non med solution please let me know. I take all the vitamins the drs recommended to help with nerves and at the time of extraction had been a vegetarian for 12 years and started eating meat after a dr said it would help. Well 4 yrs and still massive pain that covers the entire left side of my mouth and face with numbness and shooting pains that never stop and even with meds is never completely gone. I really hope someone will know something to help before I go more crazy with pain. Thanks!

Re: Lingual nerve damage

hi, I'm so sorry this has happened to you and it sounds so painful, I am sorry I don't have any input for you but just wanted you to know that I feel so bad for you. I hope you find some answers quickly. I read up on this and believe me I will only get numbed up when absolutely necessary and will definitely pay attention to what's going on when I do have to have it. You have definitely made me aware. (((((HUGS)))) Cathy
