salivary stone

Hello,
I've developed salivary stones on the left side of my mouth. That is the side of the mouth where I still have my wisdom teeth. I had them removed from the right side years ago. Dr. wants to remove wisdom teeth because the area is becoming congested back there. Has anyone heard of stones because of this?
