Swelling above rebuild

Last Thursday I had a rebuild of a cracked tooth that had had a root canal three weeks prior. At this point, there is no pain if the tooth is touched or accidentally chewed on; however, there appears to be a lump well above the gum-line of the tooth...where the end of the roots may be. The area is uncomfortable if pressure is applied to my lower cheek area.

Any ideas? Could this just be from inflammation that may have been caused during the procedure?

Of course, my dentist is gone until after the New Year. Going to give a call tomorrow to see if they have an emergency contact.
