i lost a prosthetic tooth, what should i do?

if i were to lose a prosthetic incisor (i can take it in and out) in a swimming pool...how long would it take for the gap left inbetween the teeth to close in and make it impossible to acquire a new prosthetic incisor. ??

You may get a small amount of shifting from neighboring teeth, but it certainly will not look appealing. The shifting can be quick, or not. Everyone is different. My advice is to take the tooth out before you swim, then you don't need to worry. Just be sure to put it in a box or something, not just wrapped in a tissue. So many people just forget and then throw it away.

Why not get some denture adhesive and put a little spot of it on the plate. It should give you the peace of mind to swim without worry. I wear full dentures and "glue" mine in before going in the ocean. So far so good.
