I have found that writing in a journal daily and sharing it with your therapist is a huge help. My therapist looks over my journal for signs and symptoms and helps me with coping skills.
I enjoy journaling too. However, I'm a private person and sometimes I wonder what would happen to my journals if something happened to me. Would anyone read them? Would I be embarassed? I guess I shouldn't care, it's the journaling process that helps (and it certainly does help). Do you get rid of old journals or do you keep them forever?
When I used to be in high school I used to keep a diary writing down all my thoughts/feelings I had each day. And I do get worried about people reading my diary - because it's just so personal.
Nowdays, I use the computer to type my diary entries. I used Microsoft word because I can set up a password so that my family members can't read my diary.
