Re: zoloft and smoking

When I first got on Zoloft, I experienced some anxiety and felt a little "speedy" because that's how the drug makes you feel when you first start to take it. I found myself smoking more than I usually do. But after a couple of weeks, the "speedy" effect started to wear off, the zoloft kicked in, and I am smoking less than I ever have before. I am almost at the point where I am ready to quit. Give it a little while and the cravings will go away. If I may make a suggestion, rather than begin smoking again, why not try a nicotine patch or some gum for the cravings? That is going to be my next step. Good luck.
