Is there anyone who was on accutane (for acne) and ever since then been depressed or diagnosed with depression?(by the way I'm a terrible speller (dyslexic)) I heard of something about the two linked together but never gave it much thought until here recently when nothing seems to be working for my depression. I think my new adhd medicine is causing it to be worse or maybe the paxil I'm on but none the less I have dealt with this depression for 6 years, the exact amount of time from when I was on accutane.

I doubt it has anything to do with the accutane.

Are you sure about being dyslexic and having ADHD and depression? Because ADHD and depression can mimic each other. It's possible you're overmedicated.

One of my siblings does have dyslexia and ADD and depression, so I know it can happen, but I also know they had to do a lot of tests to sort out that he really had all three, since depression causes an inability to concentrate, but also an inability to concentrate causes depression.

My sis-in-law got very depressed on accutane & had to be treated for depression. Not sure if it continued after she was off accutane, as she did do some weird things, we're not sure if it was "untreated" depression causing them or the fact that we also found out she was smoking M & who knows what other drugs, plus getting drunk most weekends.
