Red face Being treated for depression

The doctor said I had a sycotic s/p break down I am being treated with lexapro 20mg. I still feel depressed and I do not seem to have any emotions.
My daughter went to the hospital with a head injury and I did not feel anything. Thank God it was not a real bad injury. I had fusion of the c5,6 and 7 last August with a meltal plate and screws. I lost my job, still having problems with the fusions. I have lost about 4 weeks of my life that I do not remember. Will I ever remember those weeks or are they gone for ever? My husband says that my short term memory is bad. Will this get better? I am not working now. I have problems going out with people. I do not drive much because of my fusions. Will I get over this or am I really nutty for the rest of my life. I have applied for disability due to my fusions and waiting for that which could take 4 months. If anyone can help with this I would be greatful. At least I am not going out of my body any more and that is good

Re: Being treated for depression

I assume you mean confusion, not fusion. I hated lexapro. I withdrew from everything and it made my depression worse. I just started on effexor today. I will let you know if that is more effective. All the best.
