I have gone off Lamactil because at the very first increase it caused "akathesia" which is a feeling of anxiety, jittery, quivering - like I was going to jump out of my skin. I had the same experience with Neurontin at 1800mg. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm wondering if it would have passed if I'd hung on a little longer. It truly is a terrible feeling, though.

Re: lamactil

I have never taking the first drug, but Neurontin sucks. It has been shown that it actually caused depression and it could cause suicide. There is a lawsuit out regarding this drug because Pizer lied about what it really helps. Now they say it does not help Bipolar illness at all. For me, it has just made me more depressed and suicidal. I would do some research on the Internet if I was you.
