Do a search about CBT therapy. Sometimes you have to go on meds temporarily just to help you get thru the therapy. I am staying on mine, but I have started reading the book "Feeling Good" by David Burns. It is one of the books recommended to help you help yourself with CBT therapy. My meds of 7 years quit last summer, I've been trying to find one that will work since last OCT.! and am sick of it all. I've had horrible reactions to most, so I decided there has to be a better way. I'm on just Klonopin for now til I get thru this therapy & hopefully it will help & soon no more meds. The klonopin does help my dep. some & also helps my nerves & helps me sleep. There is another book by Sam Obitz, you can do a search for that too. Many of us here are deciding to try CBT instead of meds.
