Hi, not sure I can make this brief. 8 years ago I asked the love of my life to marry me. She has been the kindest, gentlest, most pleasant friend, wife and mom on the planet. I may be biased, but she "was". I found out about her depression after we were married but I agreed to learn as much about it as possible and support her. She didn't battle it until about 18 months ago after the birth of our second child.

Her doctor put her on Prozac. No noticeable affect for three months except she could live happily day to day and not sleep all the time. And then....

At 33 she has decide it's party time. Drinks alot. And has now been having an affair for 5 months. She wants to get seperated/divorced.

Her physical side effects have landed her in the hospital with out of cycle bleeding. Actual cycles that last 2 weeks. Pain she describes as worse than labour. Lactation. Vomitting. Hypoglicemic 'like' symptoms. Etc Etc. But no doctor has ever suggested her meds might be causing this.

Her mental state. She has become like a rebellious teenager. Partying. Not coming home. The affair. Slovenly. Lazy. Extremely moody. I've been gone for a week and our 18 month old and 5 year old have not had a bath or teeth brushed since I left.

I'm not looking for someone to save my marriage. I'm looking for someone to save my best friends life. The doctor just re-filled her prescription for 12 more months.

Are all these symptoms or was the kind gentle person I knew a lie? Can someone please help? I don't think I can help her be happy in her marriage while this is going on, but can't I help her physical conditions?
