Cymbalta (Duloxetine) for Depression..... - Depression Message Board

I had originally asked about "Duloxetine" but learned that the name is Cymbalta - so I did a search on this and found some side effects similar to mine:

I have been on Cymbalta now for 10 days. My dose is 40mg. I definately have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep and I have difficulty in starting to Urinate! (I read that someone else experienced that too - did that go away?)

I believe my Doctor is having me stay on 40 mg for 3 weeks and then increase to 60mg.

The directions on the label say to take 1 pill twice per day.......... I would prefer to take them all at once in the morning as it is easier to remember!! If you take Cymbalta, what is your dose and do you take them all at once?

I am on 60mg of Cymbalta daily. It is one pill that I take in the morning. So far it has helped me feel better. I do have a problem with falling asleep and staying asleep allnight. I am not sure if it is the Cymbalta though. I am weaning off of Prednisone and this is one of the withdrawal effects as well. I don't really have the urinating problem though. Good luck to you. TIna
