Wellbutrin Side Effects? - Depression Message Board

Hello All,

Has anyone out there had unusual side effects from Wellbutrin (or maybe not so unusual)... For me, I've lost about 10 pounds in 7 months (and can't afford to do that)... plus I've had big changes in the texture of my hair. It is very brittle and dry and is breaking off and falling out more. We've completed many thyroid tests and they show up as within normal range, so that doesn't seem to be the issue.

Help!

Can this be related to Wellbutrin?

Hello I take wellbutrin and do feel different to how I feel naturally but don't have any distinct side effects. Human beings are finely tuned things so affecting one chemical reaction may have effects throughout the body but of course we are all different as well and some more sensitive to others . I experienced weight loss on prozac but not on wellbutrin or any other medications so far. As far as your hair goes the only way of knowing if it is the wellbutrin is to stop it which you may not want/or be able to do. Maybe you could see a herbalist or acupuncturist to see if they can help with the hair loss.
I experienced hair loss when I was on hrt and although the doctors said it wasn't because of the hrt it stopped when I came off it and started when I went back on it again. It is distressing so I know how you feel. I wish you well.
