I used it for a mood stabilizer for awhile. I'm not sure if this was a coincidence or not, but around the time I started it, I started getting the weirdest sensation in my head. I dubbed them "brain shocks". It was like a bolt of electricity was starting in the back of my head and would shoot through the front in the space of about 1/2 a second at seemingly random times. It was also something I could HEAR as well. I'm not sure how to describe how they sounded.
Eventually I got off the med, but the brain shocks still continued for a few years, which makes me consider the possibility that I should attribute the timing of the onset of the shocks to a coincidence. These shocks also seemed to have triggers sometimes... loud noises, lots of movement, lots of color or intricate patterns, light, and oddly enough, bad memories.
I heard some people say they had the same thing on Effexor. I don't know if theirs continued past the time they were taking the medicine though. Again, I don't know whether or not to attribute the shocks to Neurontin, but I've always been rather suspicious.
