So...

do you think it's okay for me to not tell anyone?
My boyfriend knows about my doc visit and that I was given paxil and refered to a therapist and that's it.
I live with my parents...I don't want them to know, would it be wrong to keep this a secret?

I'm really nervous about taking this paxil, i keep reading about all the negative side effects and everyone switching to wellbutrin. Has anyone had any positive results?

Re: So...

I don't think it would hurt anyone for you to not tell your parents. Is there a reason you don't want them to know? Maybe they could help? I know I didn't like telling my parents anything when I lived at home, but now I wonder if they would've been supportive, had I talked to them. Who knows?

My stepmother had good results from Paxil. Of course, she sells the stuff to doctors, so, she's probably biased. I'd give it a chance, and if you find you don't like it, let the doctor know, and s/he can help you figure out an alternative.

Good luck!
