ssri

How long does it take for the ssri to kick in? I am on 10 mg of paxil and am still having a hard time. I have been on it for ten days now. I know all about paxil. This is my second time on it. Quit for 1.5 years and spiraled down. So, here I go again. But I forgot how long it takes.

Re: ssri

It can take up to 6 weeks for it to be working at full effect.

Re: ssri

When I took Paxil it took about 3 weeks before I noticed a difference in the way I felt. Also, 10mgs is a pretty low dose. I was on 20 and they told me that was low dose. If you are handling any side effects ok, I would hang in there.
Blessings,
kathy

Re: ssri

Starting to feel a little better. Very very anxious still though. AT night especially. This is one of the reasons for going back on besides the crying and not eating, obsessive thoughts, etc. I want to stay as low as I can because once you raise it, it is hard to go back down again with the side effects.

Before I was on 30 and I felt good. Maybe I'll go up to 20. I have been on 10 for two weeks, is it okay to go up to 20 now?

You should be talking to your doctor about this.
