Wellbutrin XL giving me energy and I like it.

I have been on Wellbutrin XL for only two days now. Yesterday I felt like a zombie which was the first day and now today I feel perky. I normally am really depressed and do not want to get out of bed until almost afternoon and then I just go sit on the couch and don't want to do anything pretty much. Today I got up in the morning and had energy to pull myself together and get out there and do some shopping even. Some people on here have mentioned that it makes them feel revved up. I really need something to rev me up. I was sleeping 12 hours a day and still did not want to get up. This seems to be giving me the kick in the butt I need to get myself out of bed and take care of things. I don't feel too hyper or anything either.

Well I definately need the energy but I just couldn't handle the edginess I felt when I was taking it. I liked the other side effect from it though hehe.

I also take inderal and that has made me sleepy for many years. It's an adrenaline blocker so maybe that keeps the Wellbutrin from making me too edgy.

How long did it take before you started getting that side effect? That would be helpful to me also.

I think it kicked in after about 2 weeks. Maybe you will notice it soon. I wish I wanted sex all the time like my husband lol. Guess I need to go back on it.

Re: Wellbutrin XL giving me energy and I like it.

I think we would need testerosterone.

Well now today I am more tired again so far. I still managed to get up earlier then I was doing but I feel a little out of it. I guess it'll probably take weeks to balance everything out. Yesterday I felt like super woman though. Today that tons of energy is gone. My doctor did say it can take 6 weeks to work. It's only been 3 days now. I have a ways to go.
