Hi rainbow. I can pitch in a couple of things that have happened to me. They take place roughly in the early 1990's or so. I took Zoloft (50mgs) for 5 years. It worked great for me till shortly before that. Then depression was back in full swing. I have tried about 18-20 AD's through the years and nothing works. Of course on some I had to quit taking because of side effects.
And years later I tried Zoloft again and I increased the dosage up to 200mgs gradually, but it didn't work, no change! Back then I used to take Buspar for anxiety, and it worked great. I remember years later I tried it again, and to my amazement, it did absolutely nothing. I even increased the dosage. Nope! No go!
I think it has to be your body chemistry that can change after years and what used to work then, doesn't now. That is just my case though. By the way, I am now taking Clonazepam (1mg) of an evening to help me sleep. Yes, it does work fine for me. I don't know how long I will stay on it. Take care. Kevin
