Post help with irritation

The slightest thing irritates me. It's destroying my marriage. People change the TV channels wrong, drive wrong, speak to me wrong...

Is there any relaxation technique that's been successful for someone here? Have any books or websites been helpful to you? Thanks.

Dear tn_terp,

I wish I felt better myself and had some insight for you. I get irritable frequently, but I have not yet found a way to control it. I usually just try to be civil and isolate myself until my mood improves.

Well, it is not easy to solve the problem but here are some starters. First of all, decide you like yourself, love yourself, love your spouse, love your children if you have any. Only you can make yourself happy, no one else can. Learn to overlook flaws in others, they are not puppets on strings in your control. Everyone thinks, moves, different from another person. Life is too short to dwell on little things.

I do not know how old you are but usually exercise helps to reduce stress. PMS has a way of allowing a person to be edgy.

At least "you" are aware of this and this will make it possible for you to make corrections in the way you think and react to others way of doing things. Frustration will only elevate your blood pressure and sooner or later you may have a real blood pressure problem to deal with. Life is too short to let little things destroy a beautiful marriage and your life in general. Start by making yourself smile and then the smile will shine for others in your life. A forced smile for starters and then it will become a normal smile. Know you can do it, you have already self diagnosed, just need to doctor the problem!

oh buddy do i know where your coming from. i could snap somebodys head off for looking at me wrong! and thats not good. this depression thing is awful. i try and stay away from people as much as i can cause i get so irratated and just want to scream and run away or something. i hope this will get better,SOON!

I really know where you are comming from on this one... What usually helps me is prayer. I know this sounds like I'm preaching to you, but I'm really not trying to!! I think that a combination of that and happy pills (anti-depressants) make all the difference in the world!!
