Post How long does it take for the drowsiness to go away on Lexapro?
I'm still really drowsy during the day (as if I've taken an antihistamine), but I've tried it at night and it makes me wired.
Just wondering if the daytime drowsiness ever goes away? I've been on it a little over 2 weeks.

Hi on Lexapro my side effects were naseau and it lasted about a week.

I was on Celexa which is a "cousin" drug to Lexapro they are made from the same whatever. I was sleepy for 3 years on Celexa.

So if it lasts too much longer I would talk to my doc. Lexapro is actually supposed to have less side effects than Celexa. Maybe it would work for you?

Thanks Citykittie. I'm going to give it a little more time or I may switch back to nighttime again (but then I had trouble sleeping...wierd).

The nauseau has gotten much better though and the deep yawns too. I haven't gained any weight which is definitely a plus.
