Going to dr. on Monday, need some suggestions please - Depression Message Board

Hi everyone. I am also posting on the bipolar board.

I'm going to my dr. on Monday and I've noticed that in the past MY suggestions to him re: meds have worked out more for me than his ideas.

I need suggestions please for the anxiety that I am still having plus something to help me sleep.

I am on lithium and he put me on Lexapro which has helped with the depression and anxiety some, but it's not enough.

He has me on a 30 day dose of Xanax, but I don't think he's going to continue that. Of course that helped the anxiety and sleep problems though.

Any suggestions?

Suggest Klonopin to him if your condition is such that it is both high anxiety (panic), sleep problems and you are bipolar also. Better chance of getting on it and better drug for long term. I don't usually recommend xanax or others like it, but when condition out ways side effects and addiction, then what choice do we really have. We have to do something to stop the condition just the least required. Klonopin if possible and warranted. Good luck Friend.
