Anyone taking Lexapro AND Prozac? - Depression Message Board

I am currently taking 20 mg Prozac. I have been taking Prozac off and on (from as low as 10 mg to as high as 40 mg) for 7 years. I am reluctant to try another SSRI but would like to try and augment the Prozac with another med because I think Im experiencing "poop-out". Has anyone out there taken both Prozac and Lexapro together with success? Any opinions and feedback would be great.

I dont think you are supposed to take more than one ssri at the same time...If the prozac doesn't work anymore, why not just get off it entirely? Maybe give your body some time (perhaps several months) to adjust on its own BEFORE trying something else......who knows you may not need any ad's...good luck
