locked up and venting - Depression Message Board

Hi everybody,
Still locked up in the psych hospital and getting very bored and restless. Keep begging to be allowed to go home, but to no avail.I miss the little things y'know? I miss my dog. I miss making my own dinner. I miss just singing along to NIN or something equally angry and generally being free to do the simple stuff (not allowed have anything with a cable here- seriously, has ANYBODY ever hanged themselves with a pair of bloody earphones?)
This is my sixth week, and at this stage it's becoming counterproductive. If I escape, the health insurance people won't pay, and I'm already in the red financially. Everything on the outside is a mess, and me being in here is not sorting anything out.
I'm 25, broke, cut off from family, boyfriend rapidly getting pis*ed off with me, depressed, manic, scared and locked up. JUST GIMME A FU**ING BREAK.
sorry. needed to vent.am seeing my consultant psychiatrist later and need to pretend to be all calm and rational and in control. Thanks for reading.

Gwen,
I read and am pis**D of for you. consider yourself vented. This S*** sucks! don't have any advice for you but am always here to read your post if you need to rant. good luck with the shrink. hope you make it out of there soon!

I am afraid that I dont have any great advice to give you either. But I want you to know that my ears are open and I am here for ya darlin, so vent away!

I have always bottled everything up inside of me until it gets to a breaking point and then I do or say something way out of line and pay the consequences. At the time, I really dont care who I offend or hurt, and I just break loose. I need to learn how to vent as well.

So continue to vent away, and I feel for you, I look at life this way, everybody goes through equal parts really good times and really bad times in their life, you are getting all the bad stuff out of the way so you can start enjoying the good.
